Itinerary
Day 1 Lake Manyara
You will be picked up in Moshi/Arusha by our safari guide and driver. From there you will be driven 3-4 hours to Lake Manyara entrance gate. Lake Manyara is a shallow alkaline lake that is part of Rift Valley and has diverse vegetation ranging from savannah, to marshes and acacia woodland, enabling a variety of wildlife such as hippos, which you can see at a closer range than many other places. We take our full day game drive through the park and search for the big five, later we stop for lunch, and return to our accommodation
Day 2 Ngorongoro Conservation area
After breakfast we will drive 30-60 minutes to Ngorongoro Conservation area. The Ngorongoro crater is the world’s biggest whole volcanic caldera at 8300 sq km and is arguably the most stunning arena. Before we go down into the crater we will visit the crater rim viewpoint for a panorama photo stop. We will continue our safari slowing down into the crater for a half day game drive. Where you might get a glimpse of the endangered rhino.
Day 3 : Optional Excursion/ Taranige National Park
Option 1: Drive to Tarangire for afternoon game drive (safari).
Option 2: Visit the Olduvai Gorge Museum that is dedicated to paleoanthropological research and artefacts of the area. Visit a nearby Maasai village and learn about their culture and traditions.
Option 3: Take a morning hike on the crater rim of the Ngorongoro Conservation area and take in the beautiful landscape. In the afternoon there is a cultural tour to visit Karatu or Mto Wa Mbu and learn about their culture and traditions..
Day 4 : Tarangire National Park
After breakfast it’s time to enter Tarangire National Park for the last game drive. The park's permanent water supply ensures a huge and varied animal population such as elephants, buffalo, zebra, kudu, wildebeest, impala and fringe-eared oryx. Especially during the dry season herds of wild animals gathering together around the waterholes.
After experience nature and wildlife it’s time to return back to Moshi/Arusha.
